Solid advice for entrepenuers. Especially love #2.
April 2009
While at the gym just moments ago, the local NBC affiliate was filming us working out for a scare-story about the dangers of transmitting Swine Flu via sweat left on gym equipment.
This may or may not be of note because:
1. It’s proof that as much as you try to escape Swine Flu coverage, even for an hour, you can’t.
2. I enjoyed the irony of covering an illness with “swine” in the name at a gym where all of us are sweating specifically to avoid attracting swine- or bovine -themed comments this summer.
3. When I interned at NBC in Washington DC I worked for both the medical and consumer units on these same kinds of seasonal scare-stories. During my time there, the scare-story of choice was West Nile. No, I don’t miss trying to recut/reposition B-Roll footage of mosquitos every week, someone out there must be feeling the same way about pig footage right about now….
The L Magazine’s “8 NYC Bands You Need to Hear: 2009” out today
Anamanaguchi is playing in Brooklyn the same night I’m seeing Greg Laswell in Manhattan. Will I make it to both shows? Stay tuned to find out!
Love those dudes. Yay Pete and co.!
