Hip to be Foursquare: A night out with CEO Dennis Crowley — DailyFinance

I haven’t heard the “What does Web 3.0 mean?” question posed as much lately, but to me, companies like FourSquare are defining what the next wave of innovation will look like. Namely, the ability to use technology and the Web to connect one’s offline and online activity, thus enriching both.

This is def something Caro and I used to talk about a lot about a year ago when we were discussing bringing the Web into events and “IRL” type exchanges. Connecting those two elements in such a way that speaks to the existing sociology of how people use technology/the web but that simultaneously helps push and explore new functions for these platforms and communication as a whole. Very nice :)
