Whoa, so weird! A converging of two worlds in this NY Mag article! So many new media friends mentioned but also an old Athens buddy, Briana Green — whose Bushwick loft I used as a DIY venue called The TreeFort. There I ran roof shows during warm months (and some during CMJ) with bands like Palomar, Japanther, Future Islands, Team Robespierre, Get Him Eat Him, So Many Dynamos and more….man, I miss those days as a DIY promoter and that interconnected W-Burg/Bushwick scene :)
